It's December- time to start the count down until Meekins' Holiday Party on Thursday, December 17th.
Festivities will begin at 6:30PM in Meekins' Active Room, with a potluck feast (our Hospitality Committee will organize this- more details to come…).With full stomachs, we will proceed to the Sanctuary where we will vote in our new President for 2010, Elizabeth Toledo (Gabriel- M3, and Nicolas- Meekins' alumni). Elizabeth is a three year Meekins' veteran-mom who has worked tirelessly on the Membership Committee for the past few years. She has also been an active member of the Meekins' Green Committee; she is currently one of our Spanish instructors; she lends a hand to our fund-raising efforts, etc., etc…. Elizabeth is a great asset to Meekins and she will definitely get my vote for President!
Following the election will be the highly anticipated Holiday Sing-Along, presented by our music teacher, Miss Anne, and our star performers- your kids! Come ready to have some fun, and make sure to bring a video camera!
