FB Meekins Fall Flea
Saturday, October 10, 2009
“Big Flea” is essentially a large yard sale to benefit the school. To raise money we’ll accept a wide variety of household items that you’d like to donate or just get rid of. Alternatively, we allow individuals to rent space at the Big Flea to sell their own merchandise.
Below we have more detailed information:
PRIOR TO THE SALE:
Clean items that you wish to donate of dirt and dust. Use clear plastic bags for toys/items with many pieces, rubber bands for shoes, puzzles and games, etc. Repair broken boxes with tape and do not forget to test electronics. All clothing should be clean, unstained and folded. Please sort according to size and/or type the best that you can, as items will grouped on tables accordingly.
PRICING:
Standardized pricing will be used as much as possible. A pricing sheet is attached for your review. If you have a really special item, please mark it with a price. Our pricing policy will be to not accept lower offers until we reduce all prices by 50% at 11:30am.

DONATION DROP-OFF:
Donations can now be dropped off in the Meekins middle room on Thursday, October 8th and Friday October 9th during school hours. This is in addition to the drop-off from 6:30am - 7:30am the day of the event. Remember all donations are tax-deductible and tax donation receipts are available. Items dropped off during the actual sale can cause confusion.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:
Baby bottles, sippy cups, exercise equipment, old computers and TVs, florist vases, or skis will not be accepted. These items typically do not sell or are not hygienic.
RENTAL SPACE:
Space can be rented for $20 for Meekins’ families and $25 for others, and you get to keep the proceeds. Please tell family and friends! You will need to supply your own table or blanket. BAKE SALE:
Assorted bakery items and cold drinks will be sold for $1 each. Please package or individually wrap all baked goods so they are ready for sale. Please sign-up for a time slot on the sign-up sheet outside the M2/M3 classroom door.
